German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex said that it has won the contract for the supply and installation of ten N149/4.X turbines for a 50 MW wind project in Croatia.
The statement from the company said that the wind farm will be built in Gracac municipality, Zadar county, without disclosing any information about the project’s investor.
The signed contract envisages the start of installation of wind turbines in early 2023, with the completion of the process by the end of the same year. In addition, Nordex has also signed a 20-year contract for maintenance of the turbines, which includes an option to extend service of the turbines for a further 10 years.
This is the second order for Nordex’ wind turbines this year in Croatia. In February, the company signed a contract for 25 N149/5.X turbines for 137 MW wind farm.
Currently, Nordex has 312 MW of wind installed capacity in Croatia, With the addition of these two new order, its capacity will increase to almost 500 MW.
