Croatia: Market flexibility boosted with increase in block limits for day-ahead and intraday auctions

Starting from January 8, with the first trading date on January 9, the maximum number of blocks per portfolio was increased from 6 to 40 for both the day-ahead market (DAM) and intraday auctions market (IDA). This change significantly enhances flexibility for market participants. For example, a member with two portfolios now has access to 80 blocks, up from the previous limit of 12. The volume value for each block remains unchanged at 500 MW.

This adjustment was made in response to member feedback and is intended to support the development of liquidity in IDAs, facilitate participation in DAM, and prepare for the upcoming introduction of 15-minute trading units (15MTU).
