Croatia, Increase in the spot price by 6 percent, to 145.2 euros per MWh in February

The average spot price of electricity on the day-ahead market of the Croatian stock exchange CROPEX in February 2023 was 145.2 euros per MWh, which is 6 percent higher than the 136.9 euros per MWh recorded in January, according to the monthly report operator of the CROPEX stock exchange.

In the same period, the day-ahead price for peak load fell from 165.9 euros per MWh in January to 153.9 euros per MWh in February.

The total volume of trade at CROPEX in February was 569,558 MWh. Of that, 481,900 MWh were traded on DAM, which is about 25 percent less compared to the previous month (643,523 in January).

The average monthly price on the intraday market fell by 3 percent in February, from 144.87 euros per MWh in January to 141.1 euros per MWh.

The volume of trade on CROPEX IDM was almost halved compared to the previous month, from 164,245 MWh in January to 87,668 MWh in February, according to the monthly report.

In January, a record volume was recorded in the intraday work of the Croatian market.
