Israeli company Enlight Renewable Energy said that it has signed an agreement for the acquisition and joint development of a renewable energy portfolio of 525 MW in Croatia.
The statement from the company said that the portfolio consists of four solar projects in development with combined installed capacity of 386 MW and one wind projects with the capacity of 139 MW. The company expects that these projects will become operational between 2023 and 2025.
The company said that the portfolio is one of the largest and most advanced portfolios of renewable energy projects in Croatia and will enable it to diversify its activity in Croatia by including significant solar projects, alongside its existing operational Lukovac wind project.
The acquisition also reinforces Enlight’s already strong presence across central and eastern Europe, where the company owns a 1.2 GW portfolio of renewable energy projects in Hungary, Kosovo, Serbia and Croatia, including 316 MW of already operational projects.
