Obrovac solar power plant in Croatia, worth 6.9 million euros, was officially inaugurated on 12 May. It is the largest operational commercial solar power plant in the country.
The 8.7 MW solar power plant was built on the premises of a former alumina factory. Solar power plant Obrovac has been in regular operation since November 2022.
The network connection capacity of SPP Obrovac is 7.35 MW. It consists of 27,544 Solvis photovoltaic modules. With an expected annual electricity production of around 11.3 million kWh, it will be able to meet the needs of over 3,500 households.
The investor of the project is state-owned power utility HEP.
