The Independent Bulgarian Power Exchange (IBEX) has achieved successful certification as a REMIT Reporting Mechanism (RRM) by the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). This milestone marks the launch of a new service enabling market participants to report transactions conducted outside an organized marketplace.

Starting January 1, 2025, IBEX, in its capacity as an RRM, will provide a service that allows market participants to report energy and natural gas transactions in compliance with Regulation 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and the Council (REMIT – Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency).

The service will be available to all market participants, with automatic reporting for those registered in the Bilateral Contracts market segment. Clients will have access to a secure, specialized interface that offers real-time status updates on their reports, as well as receipts from ACER. The interface, developed entirely by IBEX, ensures full compliance with ACER’s regulatory requirements.

This new service will not only streamline IBEX’s operations but also reduce the costs associated with REMIT reporting for participants.
