French nuclear energy company Framatome said that it has opened its Bulgarian subsidiary to support three-years services and maintenance contract signed with Bulgaria’s sole nuclear power plant Kozloduy.
The statement from the company said that the establishment of the Bulgarian subsidiary is the pinnacle of 20-year cooperation between the two parties and facilitates Framatome’s goal to increase its presence in central and eastern Europe.
The subsidiary was established in support of 22.1 million euros contract for systems and equipment technical maintenance signed in December last year. Framatome will provide preventive technical maintenance, overhaul, supply of parts and consumables, database service, diagnostics, as well as system upgrades at the plant.
