The electricity price for Bulgarian households will increase by around 4% on average. The final price for the new regulatory period until the end of June 2024 will be determined by KEVR on 30 June.
KEVR’s preliminary estimates showed an average increase of 3.6%, but after the former Energy Minister’s order that the additional quantities of electricity produced by state-owned coal-fired TPP Maritsa East 2 thermal power plant be included in the energy mix, there will be an additional increase between 0.4 and 0.5%.
