CEZ ESCO Bulgaria, a subsidiary of Czech energy company CEZ, is in talks with its sister company CEZ ESCO Romania on joint project for the construction of a 30,000 kW solar power plant in Romania, according to Bulgarian media.
CEZ Bulgaria Manager Karel Kral said that the company is also negotiating several new contracts on the territory of Bulgaria for an expected total capacity of over 10,000 kW, including the construction of land-based installations with a capacity of about 5,000 kW per unit.
Since its establishment in 2017, CEZ ESCO Bulgaria has signed contracts for a total of 83 energy efficiency projects, of which 59 have been finalized. CEZ ESCO Bulgaria is currently building a 10 MW solar plant in Zlatitsa, near Sofia, for the needs of copper producer Aurubis Bulgaria, a local subsidiary of German Aurubis AG.
