The hydropower plant Visegrad, operated by the subsidiary company Hidroelektrane na Drini of the power utility ERS, has shown an increase in electricity production in November 2024. The plant produced 53.22 GWh of electricity in November, reflecting a 13.8% increase compared to October 2024, when production was 46.77 GWh. However, the output in November 2024 is significantly lower than in November 2023, when the plant produced 115.64 GWh.
For the year 2024 so far, the plant has produced a total of 651.56 GWh of electricity. This is in contrast to 1,224 GWh produced in 2023, marking an increase from 849 GWh in 2022. The plant’s installed capacity is 315 MW (with three units of 105 MW each), and it typically produces an average of 1,010 GWh annually. The highest annual production recorded was in 2010, with 1,283.05 GWh.
