The Pale-Jahorina gas pipeline has officially been launched, marking the completion of the gasification of the entire mountain area. This project, valued at approximately €7.5 million, was financed by the Government of the Republic of Srpska (RS).

The pipeline network spans a total of 27 kilometers, consisting of 11 kilometers of primary distribution pipeline and 16 kilometers of secondary network serving local consumers. RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic highlighted that the RS currently boasts the most affordable electricity prices and will soon offer the lowest gas prices in Europe. He also mentioned that a similar project in Istocna Ilidza has been completed to create a loop, facilitating gasification throughout the region.

RS Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Djokic stated that the government will continue to promote energy initiatives in RS, emphasizing that gasification is a strategic project that will be expedited to increase gas usage across the region. Following the launch of the distribution gas pipeline, he noted that this project sends a strong message to potential partners about the RS’s commitment to modern technological advancements and economic development.
