Bosnia and Herzegovina: HPP Visegrad generates 113.76 GWh in April 2025, marking slight monthly decline but stronger yearly performance

A subsidiary of the power utility ERS, called Hidroelektrane na Drini, which operates the Visegrad hydropower plant, announced that the plant produced 113.76 GWh of electricity in April 2025. This is 5.4 percent less than the previous month, when electricity generation was 120.21 GWh. In April of the previous year, the plant produced 78.45 GWh of electricity.

The Visegrad hydropower plant generated a total of 733 GWh of electricity in 2024, compared to 1,224 GWh produced in 2023. So far in 2025, electricity production has reached 387.15 GWh.

The Visegrad hydropower plant was commissioned in 1989 and has a power capacity of 315 MW, consisting of three units of 105 MW each. Its average annual electricity generation is 1,010 GWh. The record annual production was achieved in 2010, with 1,283.05 GWh.
