Gordan Miseljic, Director of “Hidroelektrane na Trebisnjici” (HET), a subsidiary of the state-owned power utility ERS, announced a profit of €2.75 million for the first half of 2024. He described the semi-annual financial results as satisfactory, given that this year has been less favorable hydrologically. HET has achieved 76% of its planned annual production but is currently 250 GWh short of its target.

Looking ahead, Miseljic expressed optimism that expected rainfall in the coming months will help HET meet its annual production goal and reach a targeted profit of around €5 million. While this profit is slightly lower than last year, he emphasized the importance of maintaining positive operations and adequate hydrological conditions.

Regarding the Dabar hydropower plant, considered a key energy project for the Republic of Srpska, Miseljic acknowledged the complexity of the undertaking but noted that progress with the Chinese contractor has been satisfactory.
