Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in April 2022 amounted to 762 GWh, which is by 10 % higher compared to April last year, when it amounted to 693 GWh.
Net electricity production amounted to 709 GWh, of which 269 GWh (37.9 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 402 GWh (56.9 %) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 38 GWh. In April, electricity imports amounted to 25 GWh, compared to 31 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 107 GWh, compared to 296 GWh last April.
In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 335,602 tons, which is 1.5 % less compared to 2020 when the production stood at 340,734 tons. Lignite production in April 2022 amounted to 117,959 tons, while in April 2021 it amounted to 139,739 tons, a 15.6 % decrease.
Coke production in April 2022 totaled 74,413 tons, which is 9.1 % less than 81.843 tons produced in April 2021.
