Bosnia and Herzegovina, Government of the Republic of Srpska awarded a 50-year concession for the construction and operation of a solar complex

The Government of the Republic of Srpska (RS) awarded a 50-year concession for the construction and operation of a solar complex consisting of several power in Nevesinje municipality to local company Etmax.

The project for the construction of a solar complex with combined installed capacity of 500 MW will cost around 450 million euros. The complex will consist of one 200 MW solar power plant with estimated annual electricity generation of 316 GWh and six smaller power plants with 50 MW capacity each, expected to produce 79 GWh of electricity per year each.

The one-time concession fee for 200 MW plant is around 900,000 euros and 0.0028 euros/kWh of produced electricity. For each of the smaller ones Etmax will pay one-time fee of 450,000 euros with the same fee for produced electricity.

It is expected that the concession agreement will be signed within 60 days.

In early 2022, Etmax signed a 50-year concession agreement for the construction and operation of 60 MW solar power plant near Nevesinje with estimated annual electricity production of 84 GWh.
