It looks like the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) saw an increase in electricity production in December 2024, up 8.3% compared to December 2023. Hydropower, thermal, and wind energy sources all contributed to this growth, with thermal power plants making up the majority (58%) of the total electricity production. The production of brown coal also saw a notable increase (33%), which likely supported the higher output from thermal plants. On the other hand, coke production fell significantly by 35%.

Imports and exports also saw a shift, with imports rising sharply to 176 GWh compared to just 56 GWh last year, while exports increased modestly. Despite the increase in production, the region seems to still rely on imports for additional energy needs.
