Bosnian state-owned power utility EPBiH has launched a tender for the procurement and installation of desulfurization system for unit 6 of its coal-fired thermal power plant Tuzla.
The value of the contract is estimated to some 30.5 million euros, with the system expected to be used for at least 20 years. The deadline for the submission of bids is 15 November.
This is EPBiH’s second attempt to procure a desulfurization system for TPP Tuzla. The first tender, launched in late 2021, failed to attract any offers.
TPP Tuzla has 779 MW of operational capacity, of which the newest unit 6 has 223 MW. The plant’s annual electricity generation is around 3,600 GWh.
