As of August 1, the price of electricity for consumers of the state-owned power utility EPBiH has increased. Following the approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERK) at the end of June, prices have risen by 10.29% for residential consumers and 7.29% for other categories of consumption.

EPBiH’s General Director, Sanel Buljubašić, stated that the company needs sufficient financial resources to maintain both coal-fired and hydropower plants, ensuring these facilities are fully prepared to meet customer demand.
