The energy system of the Federation is stable, adding that the system is functioning in accordance with plans adopted in 2019, without any interruptions, said Nermin Dzindic, Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH).
Minister Dzindic stressed that coalmines operated by power utility EPBiH are working without any interruptions and that there are enough coal to power the plants operated by the utility. He added that industrial electricity consumption was down by 4 % in March, while residential consumption recorded a slight increase, due to lockdown.
He also commented recent announcements of gas company BH-Gas, which plans to reduce the wholesale price of natural gas for industrial consumers, adding that the reduction for residential consumers is also under consideration.
