The Ivan Sedlo wind farm in the Hadzici municipality began construction in September 2022. This project features five wind turbines, each with a capacity of 5 MW. The Slovenian company Interenergo, a subsidiary of Austrian Kelag, reports that the wind farm will have the capacity to supply electricity to approximately 11,000 households, with operations expected to commence at the beginning of next year.
This wind farm marks the first of its kind in Sarajevo Canton. The project represents an investment of around €35 million, initially initiated by the Danish company Suzlon Wind Energy, before Interenergo took over in November 2022.
For Interenergo, this will be their first wind farm project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, following successful developments in Croatia and North Macedonia.
