China’s Mingyang Smart Energy Group Ltd has secured an order to supply its turbines for a 150-MW wind farm project in eastern Serbia which is now under new ownership by recognized Chinese companies.
The proposed Black Peak project will carry 25 units of Minyang’s 6.25-172 onshore wind turbines, which the company says is its widely deployed model.
The wind farm will be located near the city of Bor, at a site where average wind speeds reach 7.4 metres per second at 107.5-metre height. These conditions will enable the wind farm to generate approximately 465 GWh of electricity annually, Minyang said in a press release.
Clarion Partners Owners Engineer ( www.owners.engineer) the regional consulting and engineering company, has been appointed as owner’s engineer for the delivery of EPC Wind park 150MW project to be built in Eastern Serbia.

Wind Park project development project was conducted in the past years, being unique green power generation projects to be built on the most challening mountain locations in eastern Serbia but with highest measured wind and expected maximum utilisation of annual power production. Transmission lines with three export lines will enable sustainable electricity trading for its owners.
As owner’s engineer, Clarion will provide technical and engineering oversight services for the duration of the project to monitor and assess the work in progress, ensuring the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor delivers work consistent with the project’s requirements.
