The municipality of Sokolac has adopted the zoning plan and removed obstacles to the construction of the 100 MW solar power plant.
The investment is worth around 120 million euros. The work on this project has been ongoing for almost two years, following the initiative of the Independent System Operator of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NOSBiH) and Elektroprenos BiH. The investor is the company Eter State, owned by the German Profine Group.
The Bjelosavljevici-Kula solar power plant is expected to be built in a year and a half, generating revenues of 350,000 euros per year for the municipal budget through the electricity production concession.
