Gross electricity generation in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 1,384 GWh in February, compared to 1,292 GWh in the same month last year, according to data from the Agency for Statistics.
In total gross electricity production hydropower plants participated with a share of around 38%, thermal power plants with 58% and solar and wind power plants with 34%.
Net production of hydropower plants amounted to 528 GWh, which is 13% lower than in the same month in 2023. Thermal production amounted to 718 GWh, which is 24% more than last February. Electricity production from renewable sources (wind and solar) reached 54 GWh.
In the same period, electricity imports dropped by 9% to 323 GWh while exports rose by 12% to 633 GWh.
