Five Albanian companies and one Turkish renewables developer are interested in building photovoltaic plants across the country with a total capacity of 213 MW, according to the Albanian energy ministry.
Turkish renewable energy producer Fortis Energy has expressed interest in developing a PV plant with a capacity of 62 MW in the Kolonje municipality, the energy ministry said.
Earlier this month, Fortis Energy said it plans to develop 664 MW renewable energy projects in Albania.
Solar power producers Get Solar Solution and Met Invest are seeking to develop PV plants, also in the municipality of Kolonje, with capacities of 24 MW and 30 MW, respectively.
Renewables developers Grand Kompani and Tekno Fire want to develop solar projects of 40 MW and 32.2 MW respectively near the city of Elbasan.
Albanian solar power producer Dielli i Qarrit is interested in developing a 25 MW photovoltaic plant with 25 MW of installed capacity near the city of Korca.
