Traded volume on the day-ahead market of the Albanian electricity exchange ALPEX amounted to 110 GWh in February, which was the inaugural month of cross-zone Albania-Kosovo trading. 80.3 GWh of electricity was traded for the Albania bidding zone, and 29.5 GWh for the Kosovo bidding zone, both with an average market clearing price of 74.75 euros/MWh.
The energy flow from the Albanian bidding zone towards the Kosovo bidding zone reached 1.44 GWh, whereas Kosovo exchange members delivered 20.3 GWh to their Albanian peers.
ALPEX was founded by Albanian electricity transmission system operators OST and KOSTT in October 2020 and held its first Albanian auction in April 2023.
