In contrast, after three weeks of declines, the French market saw the smallest rise, 1.2%, while other markets experienced increases ranging from 1.3% in Belgium to 2.7% in Spain.

In the third week of December, average temperatures were colder than the previous week in most analyzed markets. Germany recorded the largest drop, 3.4 °C, while France had the smallest decrease, 0.9 °C. Great Britain and Italy were exceptions, with average temperatures rising by 0.4 °C and 0.9 °C, respectively.

For the week of December 22, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting predicts that electricity demand will decline in major European markets, AleaSoft reports.
