Local company Postak has announced plans to build a large wind farm in the municipality of Gračac, located in southern Zadar County. The project, named Ljut, will have an installed capacity of 300 MW, making it the largest wind facility in Croatia once completed.
According to the environmental impact study published by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the wind farm will include 50 turbines, each with a capacity of 6 MW. The facility is expected to generate around 788 GWh of electricity annually. A public consultation on the study has been opened and will remain available until 3 October.
The Croatian RES Association (OIEH) noted that the scale of the Ljut project sets a new benchmark for the domestic wind sector, highlighting its importance for the country’s renewable energy development.
