According to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia reached 1,096 GWh in July 2025, an 8.9 percent decrease compared to July 2024, when it amounted to 1,203 GWh.
By source, hydropower plants generated 394 GWh (35.9 percent), thermal power plants 301 GWh (27.5 percent), wind farms 211 GWh (19.3 percent), and solar plants 143 GWh (13 percent).
Electricity imports totaled 1,284 GWh, down 15.8 percent year-on-year, while exports fell 21.7 percent to 639 GWh.
In hydrocarbons, Croatia produced 63 million cubic meters of natural gas, 6 percent less than in July 2024, and imported 269 million cubic meters, up 5.5 percent. Crude oil output dropped 9.3 percent to 39,000 tons, while petroleum product production declined to 307,000 tons from 322,000 tons a year earlier.
