Serbia’s state-owned power company EPS has opened a public tender for professional supervision services for the construction of the Kostolac wind farm, with the contract valued at approximately 275,000 euros.
The decision follows significant delays and deviations from the original construction timeline, prompting EPS to strengthen oversight to ensure both safety and quality standards are met. The contract covers supervision in accordance with the Law on Planning and Construction, relevant regulations, and coordination with existing on-site supervision teams.
The selected contractor will be responsible for daily monitoring of construction activities, inspecting materials and equipment, reviewing the construction log, and preparing weekly, monthly, and final reports. They will also collaborate with the FIDIC engineer, the current supervision team, and the construction contractor, keeping EPS informed of any irregularities, risks, or schedule deviations in a timely manner. Applications for the tender must be submitted by 30 September.
The Kostolac wind farm, planned with a total capacity of 66 MW, is part of EPS’s broader strategy to expand renewable energy in Serbia, supporting the country’s national goals for a cleaner energy mix.
