Bosnia and Herzegovina: HPP Visegrad records lower output in July 2025

Hidroelektrane na Drini, a subsidiary of power utility ERS and operator of the Visegrad hydropower plant, reported that the plant generated 25.11 GWh of electricity in July 2025, down 25.6% from the previous month’s 33.74 GWh. In July 2024, production stood at 30.34 GWh.

In 2024, HPP Visegrad produced a total of 733 GWh of electricity, compared to 1,224 GWh in 2023. Since the start of 2025, the plant has generated 505.1 GWh.

Commissioned in 1989, HPP Visegrad has an installed capacity of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and an average annual output of 1,010 GWh. Its record annual production was achieved in 2010, with 1,283.05 GWh.
