Hydropower plant Visegrad, operated by “Hidroelektrane na Drini”, a subsidiary of the power utility ERS, generated 33.74 GWh of electricity in June 2025 — a 43% decrease from May’s output of 59.11 GWh. Compared to June 2024, when the plant produced 36.25 GWh, output is also slightly lower.
In 2024, the plant produced a total of 733 GWh, significantly below the 1,224 GWh generated in 2023. Cumulative generation for the first half of 2025 stands at 480 GWh, indicating a continued downward trend.
HPP Visegrad, commissioned in 1989, has an installed capacity of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and an average annual production of 1,010 GWh. Its record year was 2010, with 1,283.05 GWh produced.
