Albania’s energy ministry announced it has received an expression of interest from the local renewable energy company Gramozi Green Energy to construct a 38 MW photovoltaic plant near the southeastern town of Kolonja. The project is a fully private investment and will not benefit from any government partnership or incentives, according to a notice from the ministry.
Gramozi Green Energy was established in 2023 by US-based Albanian entrepreneur Adriatik Sheko. In January, Sheko transferred his ownership to his US-based transport company, Universal Transport II LLC.
