Hidroelektrane na Drini, a subsidiary of power utility ERS and the operator of the Višegrad hydropower plant, reported that the plant generated 63.97 GWh of electricity in February 2025. This marks a 28.3% decrease compared to January’s production of 89.21 GWh. In February 2024, the plant generated 92.43 GWh.
In 2024, HPP Višegrad produced a total of 733 GWh of electricity, significantly lower than the 1,224 GWh recorded in 2023. So far in 2025, total generation has reached 153.18 GWh.
Commissioned in 1989, HPP Višegrad has an installed capacity of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and an average annual generation of 1,010 GWh. Its record annual output was achieved in 2010, with 1,283.05 GWh of electricity produced.
