In September 2024, the average electricity bill for households was €29.32, reflecting a significant 33.7% decrease from August’s €44.22, but a 5.9% increase compared to September 2023, when the average bill was €27.68.
The lowest average monthly bill was recorded in the Mojkovac municipality at €19.90, while Ulcinj had the highest at €39.40. Notably, 67.6% of households paid less than €30 for their electricity consumption, while 18.4% paid between €30 and €50, 11.3% between €50 and €100, and 2.7% received bills exceeding €100.
A total of 214,031 customers benefitted from a 10% discount, accounting for approximately 53.9% of all consumers in Montenegro. The national power utility, EPCG, reported that households consumed 106.42 million kWh in September 2024, marking a 6.42% increase from the same month last year, but a 31% decrease compared to the previous month.
