Bosnian aluminium supplier Alumina has announced plans to invest approximately 3 million euros in the construction of a 6 MW rooftop solar power plant. The solar facility will be installed across 25,000 square meters of rooftops on buildings within the Alumina factory near Zvornik and will generate electricity exclusively for the company’s own needs.

In addition to this, Boksit, a local mining company with the same majority owner as Alumina, is set to invest around 5 million euros in the construction of a 10 MW solar power plant.

Both Alumina and Boksit are owned by the local real estate company Pavgord. These investments reflect a significant move towards renewable energy by Pavgord’s subsidiaries, aiming to enhance sustainability and reduce reliance on external power sources.
