At nuclear power plant Krsko, all 121 fuel elements were relocated over the weekend and now the pipeline replacement will start. After moving fuel elements from the reactor vessel to the spent fuel pool, conditions for detailed inspections of the primary loop connection system pipelines were created in the containment structure, and the repair work began, including the removal of some existing pipes and their replacement with new ones, NPP Krsko said in a statement.
Westinghouse, the original equipment supplier, with the support of the domestic industry, has initiated the removal of some existing pipelines while simultaneously preparing for the replacement of new sections of the pipelines.
