Gas consumption in Hungary in the first half of 2023 has dropped by 18.2% compared to the same period last year to 4.7 billion cubic meters. At the same time, industrial consumption dropped by a billion cubic meters in the first half of this year.
Gas consumption of business consumers dropped by 18.4% in the first six months, while residential consumers reduced their consumption by 17.6% compared to the same period in 2022, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
In the first half of 2023, electricity consumption in Hungary dropped by 8%.
