The average price of electricity on the day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 88.2 euros per MWh in May 2023, according to a monthly report. That is 17% lower compared to April (106.7 euros/MWh).
The average DAM peak price amounted to 76.6 euros per MWh in May, 24% lower compared to April.
Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.2 million MWh, 14% more compared to April (1.96 million MWh) and 7% less than in May 2022 (2.39 million MWh). The average daily traded volume in May amounted to 72,059 MWh.
The total traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 582,229 MWh. The average price for the hourly product amounted to 86.76 euros per MWh in May.
