Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in February 2023 amounted to 745 GWh, which is by 2.9 % lower compared to February last year, when it amounted to 767 GWh.
Net electricity production amounted to 706 GWh, of which 351 GWh (49.7 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 323 GWh (45.8 %) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 32 GWh.
In February, electricity imports amounted to 81 GWh, compared to 30 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 140 GWh, compared to 203 GWh last February.
In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 345,408 tons, which is 10 % more compared to 2022 when the production stood at 314,047 tons. Lignite production in February 2023 amounted to 76,333 tons, while in February 2022 it amounted to 108,294 tons, a 29.5 % decrease.
Coke production in February 2023 totaled 61,686Â tons, which is 11 % less than 69.307 tons produced in February 2022.
