Croatian electricity transmission system operator HOPS applied a number of projects for financing program worth 218 million euros, launched by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development in July. The program will be financed through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
The goal of the program is modernization, digitalization and the expansion of Croatia’s electricity transmission system, which will enable the integration of electricity produced from renewable sources in the most efficient and stable manner.
HOPS applied 11 projects: the increase of transmission capacity of 220 kV Konjsko-Brinje transmission line, rehabilitation of 220 kV Senj- Melina transmission line, replacement of 400/220 and 220/110 kV transformers at Konjsko transformer station, replacement of 400/110 kV transformer at Velebit transformer station, rehabilitation of transmission lines for HPP Dubrovnik, rehabilitation and increase of transmission capacity of 110 kV Ston-Rudine-Komolac transmission line, construction of 110 kV Bilice-Trogir transmission line, increase of transmission capacity of 110 kV line for better integration of RES projects, replacement of subsea transmission cables between the islands and the mainland and the establishment of HOPS data hub.
According to HOPS, all these projects should be completed by 30 June 2026.
