Mytilineos Group has started the construction of 200 MW solar power plant in Kozani in northern Greece, a project developed by PPC Renewables, a renewables arm of Public Power Corporation.

Last December, the company selected METKA, a part of Mytilineos Group, as the contractor for the construction of the plant, which is a part of a larger project which includes the construction of solar parks in Kozani with total power output of 230 MW. Estimated cost of the project is 130 million euros, of which 110 million is related to the 200 MW power plant. Previously in May, PPC Renewables awarded two contracts for the construction of 15 MW solar power plants in Kozani to METKA and Terna, which has already completed.
